Membership

DAWN has always been comprised of women from many backgrounds, experiences and thoughts.  Our members include women who

• live in Decatur and the surrounding area

• are at all life stages and at various levels of professional and career development

• work in a variety of organizations from corporations to non-profits

• own their own businesses

• are not currently employed or are retired

• are involved in the community

• Attend each meeting – Get a chance to connect with and learn from other members. Networking/cocktail time begins at 5:30. There is also time during the dinner meeting to participate in discussion and gain insight from other members.

• Learn from our guest speakers whose topics focus on community awareness and professional and personal development.

• Submit announcements to display on our Facebook Page – Include information and promotions for your business, recruit volunteers for community organizations, and let others know about community activities. Submit to dawndecatur@gmail.com two weeks before you would like the information published.

• Utilize the member display table at meetings – Bring your business cards, products, brochures, and other materials to spread the message about your business and/or services or community events.

• Visit DAWN’s Facebook page – Check in or connect with other members and area women, provide feedback about the meetings, or share something exciting.

• Serve on DAWN’s board or help increase membership by inviting guests to our meetings.

• Members contact list - As a member you will receive an updated directory each year. Feel free to use the contact information to follow up on conversation you had while networking at one of our meetings or reach out to a DAWN member you haven’t had the chance to connect with yet.

We're so excited that you have decided to join DAWN (or return for another year)!  We all have busy schedules so we know what it means to commit to DAWN.  Use our meetings as an excuse to take the night off of work, get away from the kids, put your priorities on hold, etc.  It's your time to reconnect with friends, learn about our community, and celebrate women.

Returning Members - We are asking returning members to fill out the new member profile as well.  As you know, many of us have been apart of DAWN for years.  We want to make sure we have the correct information listed for everyone.  You may also pay your dues online, if you wish.
